About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Executive with specialized expertise in SSL/TLS certificates and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions to drive growth in our digital trust and cybersecurity portfolio. Based in Sandton, this role focuses on expanding our SSL market share across Africa and the Middle East through proactive new business acquisition. You will work remotely and via digital channels to engage prospects, build pipelines, and close deals in a dynamic, high-growth cybersecurity environment.
As a key member of our sales team, you will leverage your deep knowledge of SSL/TLS and PKI technologies to educate clients, demonstrate value, and secure new revenue streams from enterprises, resellers, and partners in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for SSL/TLS certificates, PKI solutions, and related digital certificate services across Africa and the Middle East.
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and virtual meetings to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Consult with prospects on their cybersecurity needs, explaining the benefits of SSL/TLS for web security, encryption, and compliance, as well as PKI for certificate lifecycle management, authentication, and trust services.
- Manage the full sales cycle: from initial contact and needs assessment to solution presentation, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional products, such as managed PKI services, code signing, or IoT security solutions.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), tracking opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with channel partners, resellers, and internal technical teams to support complex deals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings (e.g., DigiCert, Sectigo), and regulatory requirements affecting digital certificates in the region.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets focused on new customer acquisition.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales or account management, preferably selling SSL and PKI solutions.
- Proven track record in new business acquisition (hunter mentality), with demonstrated success in closing deals and meeting/exceeding quotas.
- Specialized knowledge and previous sales experience with SSL/TLS certificates and PKI solutions (e.g., domain validation, organization validation, extended validation certificates, certificate lifecycle management).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including encryption, digital trust, and compliance standards.
- Experience selling into Africa and/or Middle East markets is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to conduct virtual demos and handle objections effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events or client meetings in the region.
