Job Overview:
The Sales Engineer is a technical expert and critical sales resource responsible for supporting the sales team in acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing clients. This role combines in-depth product knowledge with an understanding of client needs to tailor solutions and build trust in Prima Secureโs offerings. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with both internal teams and clients, bridging the gap between technical and sales functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Pre-Sales Support:
- Provide technical expertise during pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose solutions from Prima Secureโs cybersecurity and digital certificate portfolio.
- Solution Design & Customization:
- Design and customize technical solutions to meet client needs, leveraging Prima Secureโs offerings in SSL, vulnerability management, GRC, and other cybersecurity services.
- Prepare technical proposals, scope of work, and solution architectures.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstration:
- Conduct product demos and presentations to showcase Prima Secureโs capabilities and benefits.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest industry trends, product updates, and competitive landscape.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
- Develop strong client relationships, establishing trust in Prima Secure as a reliable cybersecurity partner.
- Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, addressing technical queries and concerns.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Liaise with product management, engineering, and technical support teams to align client needs with product offerings.
- Provide client feedback to improve product development and service delivery.
- Post-Sales Support:
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth implementation of Prima Secure solutions.
- Provide occasional post-sales technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar role, preferably in cybersecurity or IT solutions.
- Cybersecurity Certifications:
- Possession of relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies, including SSL certificates, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence.
- Familiarity with industry-leading solutions from partners such as DigiCert, Fortinet, Tenable, and Palo Alto is a plus.
- Sales Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating complex technical information into clear, client-friendly language.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a solutions-oriented mindset to effectively diagnose and resolve client technical issues.
- Customer Focus: Proven ability to understand client needs and provide tailored, high-value solutions.
